Annville Free Library’s expansion project, funded by gifts to the “Writing the Next Chapter” capital campaign, seeks to address patron needs:

  • Wish for additional programs
  • Access to media and technology
  • Requests for public meeting space
  • Safe area for youth to gather
  • Ease of access for all

The expansion includes:

  • Additional program space – a 3380 square foot addition will connect the existing library to a renovated Main Street duplex (226 and 288 Main Street) which will be used as a Community Room
  • Youth space – youth programs will move from a cramped space on the lower level to a bright first floor space with patio access.
  • Children’s space – the entire basement will be dedicated to the children’s collection and programming.
  • ADA compliance – both the Main Street and parking area entrances will become ADA (Americans with Disabilities Act of 1990) compliant.
  • Family restrooms – new family restrooms will include two on the main floor and two in the lower level.
