The bulk of new donations to the Writing the Next Chapter Campaign will be applied to the renovation of the existing Library so that we may continue to provide the greater Annville community with additional resources to meet future need. - quiet spaces for browsing, reading, and working
- help from the friendly, attentive staff
The 1990 section of the library currently serves as our check-out and media rooms. Once these services move to the new Addition, planned updates for this area include:
- Lillie’s Place – informal seating area for small discussion, reading, using WIFI
- Two study rooms
- Friends’ Bookstore – replacement for the Book Corner now downstairs
- Library Workroom for processing and repairing library materials
- Curved wall with library’s name, attractive fencing and lighting in the style of Annville’s historic downtown streetscape
- Dedicated Children’s Library with story time area, bookcases, TV monitors, and new carpeting
- Central Help Desk
- ADA-accessible family restroom
- Creativity Center for crafts, STEM projects, and hands-on exploration (requires cabinets, lighting, flooring, wall removal)
- HVAC on both floors – a complex and expensive undertaking (at least $200,000); includes outside air mixing, filtration, dehumidification, and air cleaning
